Can you feel the Blog tonight?

Whats up dude and dudettes,

It's been awhile huh. Well for you few people who still read this I just want to say thanks. I know we've had a crazy run of blogs. It was kinda slow in the humble beginnings, but soon we quickly picked up and things just took off. I really can't explain what happened, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

Anyways, so what have I been up to you ask. Man let me think. When was the last time we talked. Wow December 1st. Well I'll tell you what... That week I got sick with the flu. Man it stunk. I was sick sick sick. Then, during the sickness, my wisdom teeth started to give me trouble. So the next week (last Friday) I had them removed. That was fun. It was my first time to ever be on laughing gas. Man it was hilarious. I wasn't sure what to expect cause they call it laughing gas and all, but I wasn't sure if it was one of those things that really wasn't funny (like the "funny bone" or something). But anyways, it was pretty cool. The dentists told me that when it started to kick in, I would feel a sense of euphoria, and my fingers would tingle and stuff. So, I was waiting for it and they were asking me questions and stuff and they mentioned that I was also going to start to notice that their voices might start to sound different. Well, they asked me what I had for lunch, and just then I started to feel the nitrous oxide kick in. So I was like, um... Chicken nuggets. But when I said it, my voice was super Barry white style deep. It was so weird. So that stuff helped me throughout the surgery. There were times when I forgot that I was having my teeth taken out. Like the bottom ones were really hard to get out, so I thought they went to the top without taking them out, but soon they were like, we got one out. I was like, "weird," except for my voice was all muffled by all the tools and crap in my mouth. It was a little weird. I went to the dental school in Alton, and it was excellent. Then only weird thing was that my bottom tooth wasn't coming out too well, so the teacher came in and got it started. He was a no-nonsense kinda guy. He got in there and got it going man. I thought my lip was gonna rip though cause at the angle that he was at he had my lip moved out farther than I thought it could move. It was a pretty cool experience though.

So I survived. Actually, I shouldn't make light of the situation, because I know a lot of people who have had problems with their teeth and I really have been blessed with an easy road. I haven't had swelling or bruising of any kind. No dry sockets or anything. I've had pain, but I also have Vicatin, which is almost as cool as laughing gas (haha). So that's what's going on with me.

Man, this was another long one. It seems that I complain a lot in my blog in retrospect. What's retrospect mean anyway. Probably the way they looked at stuff in the 70's. Oh well.

Thanks for being a part of my life ya'lls,
Andy Hodges
